Sylvia Kristel

Born September 28, 1952 in Utrecht, Netherlands
Young Sylvia Kristel had a strict religious upbringing and planned to be a teacher. Then, out of nowhere, Dad comes home with a new bride and tells the kids to move out of the house! So she started modeling. Later entered the Miss TV Europe contest and won. Next stop stardom. Sort off. Actually, next stop was baring her breasts in sexploitation comedies. But then, somehow, Just Jaekin's EMANUELLE became an international mega-hit and one of the most profitable movies ever made, and Sylvia Kristel was a global sex symbol overnight. Proof of how out of the blue this all was... Kristel was paid $6000 for EMANUELLE. She was able to demand $100,000 for EMMANUELLE 2.

Here's an interesting tid-bit about Sylvia Kristel... she skipped four grades in school and her IQ was reported as 164. Speaks Dutch, English, Italian and French too.
