| | Dietrich was one of Europe's most prolific producers. Specializing in sexploitation style erotica, he released up to ten films a year throughout the 1970s. The content of Dietrich's movies was forward-leaning, frequently operating in a zone more explicit that contemporary cable softcore but short of contemporary XXX. That sort of "Soft X" movie was only common in America for about two years (1970-1971) but was a popular genre in Europe for decades. Dietrich directed about forty movies and produced about forty more employing notable European exploitation directors such as Jesus Franco and Antonio Margheriti. |
